PROS: Compact washer/dryer unit, many cycles
CONS : Washer tub a bit small
My college roommate and I recently rented an apartment with a small closet space that could be used as a laundry area. This is a luxury for us since we were used to the dorm laundry facilities and all its late night washings. With a little help from our parents, we were able to purchase this Whirlpool stacked washer and dryer unit. The washer/dryer fits great in the closet space and there is even enough room to put a shelf on the inside wall for storage of soap. Continue reading
PRO Quiet spin, Many different cycles to chose from, Energy Efficient
CONTRA Clothes sometimes get twisted around each other
I was looking around for a new washer because my old one up and quit on me one day. I knew about the great quality of Whirlpool appliances so I decided to go to my local store and look at what they had to offer. There I found my new Whirlpool Duet Steam front load washer and I am extremely happy with it.
This Whirlpool WFW9750WW Front Load Washer can handle washing a lot of jeans (12 pairs with still room for more) in a single cycle and just as many towels. It is extremely quiet when spinning which is a plus when my young son is napping.
I also like the fan fresh option which circulates air through the finished wet load for hours because like many busy moms I sometimes forget to put the wet clothes in the dryer until the next morning. I have also used the delicate cycle for my hand washable items and they come out beautifully.
The only complaint I can find so far is that sometimes the drum spins so fast that the clothes get twisted around each other and I have to wrestle them apart to put them into the dryer. The Whirlpool WFW9750WW Front Load Washer is also energy star rated so I know I’ll save money on my water bill. I expect to enjoy my washer for many years to come and would highly recommend purchasing this front load washer to my friends.
I rate this product 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
The Whirlpool duet wfw9550ww is a front loading all in one washer and dryer with a 32.91-gallon capacity. It is Energy Star efficient and has 12 wash presets.
Has an Attractive appearance. Energy efficient and is a great money saver. Has a large capacity and is simple to use. Whirlpools are dependable.
For some reason socks are caught in the seal in the door. This unit shakes more than many washers do.
The large capacity and compact size are why I decided to invest in this particular washer/dryer combo. The energy saver function was second, but still very important and I noticed a drop in my water and electricity bills immediately. This washer/dryer is built like a tank. It was simple to install at home. I have very little technical knowledge and was able to install it.
I have to say the shaking while spinning and drying does worry me a bit, it seems like it is going to shake apart, but we have gotten used to it. The only other negative is I have noticed that socks seem to be caught in the seal while they are drying. It does not happen all of the time, but does happen.
I would recommend this combination unit for those with children and limited space and would make the same choice again. Three and a half stars.
The Whirlpool WTW5500XW Top Load Washer is stylish and a wonderful washer to own. If you are looking to upgrade your washer, you may want to look into this.
